BOSTON, MA – As Ketline and Rose of Above Greatness Events & Bella Passion Creates floated around the room in a scurry moments before the doors would open for the 2025 Bada$$ Women in HerStory events, you could already feel the positive energy flowing around the room.
Closing out the tail end of Womens’ History Month – which Ketline proudly says she firmly believes should be celebrated all year long – the extravagant celebration aimed to give women their flowers “while they could still smell them,” says Turner. “It’s my way of giving back to them and letting them know for this one night, they are their own celebrity.”
Kicking off the event by highlighting local female-owned businesses with a vendor hall before bringing in impeccable entertainment, their keynote speaker Precious Williams, CEO of Perfect Pitch Group, inspired the audience. “For far too long we’re told women in their 40’s – they get to their late 30’s and 40’s – we’re irrelevant. I’m like ‘baby, we’re just getting started in these streets’,” smiled Williams. “You can look like yourself, you can be yourself, and you can shine like the diamond that you are. There are no limits.”
State Representative Christopher Worrell also spoke to the audience with a deeply motivational message for women in the Commonwealth. “A trailblazer’s life requires courage, requires resilience, and requires willingness to be the first. To be the only woman in the room, the only woman to sit at a table, refuse to shrink in the face of resilience. When the world tells you no, you push forward anyways. And that is exactly what every honoree in this room is doing.”
