Currently, she is a published journalist for Cape Wide News, Contributing Writer for Broadry and host of several shows including This Week on Martha’s Vineyard, Good News New England and is a guest host on The BosBabes (a show she helped to co-found in 2019). Emmalyn thrives on producing engaging, quality content and is always ready for the next adventure.
As a Reporter, Emmalyn has covered a wide range of topics in both published written articles and on-camera from sitting down for a one-on-one with District Attorney Marian Ryan to chasing the scanner and interviewing top New England athletes like Jason & Devon McCourty and Matt Grzelcyk at local charity events. Educated at Lasell University on the outskirts of Boston, Emmalyn’s specific focus on Journalism & Media Writing has been her guiding light to becoming a published journalist and set the stage for her work as a multi-media journalist. In 2014, Emmalyn made her first on-camera debut as an Entertainment Reporter with a lifestyle show on NESN before starting work as a part-time Reporter at WMCT News in Marlborough in 2017 where she learned to shoot, edit, track and produce her own packages. In 2018, she was promoted to full-time Reporter & Anchor where she covered a wide range of stories from breaking hard news, investigative pieces and lighthearted pieces including travel, food & leisure.
As an Anchor and Talk Show Host, Emmalyn’s calm & professional presence and natural ability to improvise have made her a trusted face in the New England media market. Outside of her former Anchor role at WMCT News, Emmalyn has also appeared on NESN’s Wicked Bites, helped to found and Co-Host The BosBabes Sports Show, and host of This Week on Martha’s Vineyard.
