WEST TISBURY, MA – Close your eyes and imagine a picture perfect day on Martha’s Vineyard: you step off the boat in Oak Bluffs, grab yourself a Dirty Banana from Donovan’s and ice cream for the kiddos, walk on down to Midnight Taco for lunch, and spend a few hours on the beach before getting pizza at Giordano’s and heading to your home away from home.
Just 12 minutes from Oak Bluffs, our beautiful rental in West Tisbury gave us exactly this perfect day for an entire week. The ideal location was also 7 minutes from Vineyard Haven where we spent the morning having breakfast at Waterside Market and strolling the shops (hello Rainy Day!) before stopping at Black Dog to treat our pup to something yummy before heading back to shower and hit Edgartown for the evening. A short 12 minute drive, the day trip to Edgartown was the perfect plan for 4th of July: breakfast at Among the Flowers, climbing to the top of Edgartown Lighthouse, enjoying a day on the dog-friendly side of Lighthouse Beach, and sipping mimosas at The Harborview where we enjoyed dinner on the deck while watching the parade and fireworks.
When we were ready to come home from the day, this haven on Clover Hill Road didn’t miss a mark. It has plenty of space with a master bedroom and bathroom, 2 bedrooms upstairs with a second bathroom, a giant kitchen, dining room, living room, spacious sunroom, and first floor half-bath.
It’s a place where you can easily sneak in some work if you need to, or set up a movie night for the family on a rainy evening in thanks to the complimentary wifi. Yes, it has a coffee maker (that’s great to sip in the rocking chairs on the deck!), yes, there’s laundry in the building (to wash your sandy bathing suit from the beach), yes, there’s everything you need to cook your favorite meal (especially the lobster pot!) and yes…there’s a blender (hellooo margaritas!). They also provide all the towels (including beach towels!), soaps, and amenities you need to completely relax and make the most of your Martha’s Vineyard vacation including free parking and yep – it’s pet friendly with working AC!
