OAK BLUFFS, MA – Just steps away from the ferries on Oak Bluffs, Circuit Ave is a hotspot. Want the address for the best place to enjoy a drink on the deck & soak up the island vibe? Eleven Circuit Ave.
While their extensive menu serving breakfast, lunch and dinner speaks enough for itself to draw a crowd, as General Manager Natasha will tell you the welcoming, creatively charged atmosphere is what brings back business time and time again. “That’s the most important thing: energy. That’s why we are here.”
What’s their secret to success? Natasha credits their owners, Ralston and Mavis, for granting their staff creative freedom to play to their staff’s strengths outside their roles that fulfill their passions. “They’re not just here to work, serve you drinks and food,” she explains. “They’re gonna bring their own skill set. One of them is a graphic designer – one of them is an architect. They want to be here, they like to be here, they like to work with Ralston, and they are bringing their own stuff.”
From engaging marketing materials to colorfully creative menu items and playful drinks, it’s a one stop shop that can satisfy almost every craving with staff that is appreciated for all that they do. “He’s treating us like partners, not just workers. He gets it.”
Their menu boasts a wide variety of savory sweets – including their firework donut, delicate cakes, fried avocado with a sweet mango sauce and dishes that are day of fresh – like their spin on tuna tartare. “Literally this morning the tuna was alive, thinking about life, and you just ate it.”
For all these reasons and more – you’ll want to make it your first stop when you come to shore. It has quickly and naturally become one of the most popular restaurants on the island. “It’s word of mouth, people need to feel like home,” says Natasha and this year we’re also going to stay open year round.”
