BOSTON, MA – While one would never know from the subtle sign just outside of an unmarked door, nestled inside the second floor of 75 Newbury Street is a hidden gem salon that’s home to one of the most talented hair colorists in Boston.
“I am constantly inspired by color in fashion or nature,” explains Courtney Rochelle, expert colorist at Spoke & Weal who finds comfort in the creative element of her craft. “It really is like being a painter all day.”
Originally based with the salon in New York City, Courtney says she was drawn to the salon whose number one rule is to be “part of something greater” that dedicates their time to perfecting their craft. “We’re not smoke and mirrors..we’re not flashy,” she smiles. “We just do the best hair.”
An expert in her field, Courtney has been serving clients in Boston for four years – and knows the impact of her work goes deeper than the color. “Besides like the artistic part of my job, my clients are the best part of the job for me. I love creating relationships – I get to see people through all stages of their life,” she explains, reflecting on the faith she is grateful to have from her clients. “I really value how much trust my guests put in me. This is a space where they can relax and I just love taking care of people.”
