BOSTON, MA – With an extravagant entryway and enchanting ballroom with a one-of-a-kind Boston skyline backdrop, Venezia Restaurant is a true hidden waterfront gem.
It’s easy to see why Solutions At Work, a Boston-based non-profit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty chose the stunning ballroom for their annual gala. “It’s a beautiful property,” smiled Tamra Blake, who serves as the Finance Director for Solutions At Work.
Established in 1989 by a group suffering from homelessness in Cambridge, its founders were determined to provide those without shelter resources and opportunities to strengthen their self-confidence and achieve a greater independence. “It gives people hope. It provides means for them to learn new skills – it helps with mental health – it gives people who have potentially reached rock bottom feel like there’s a pathway. “
On September 22nd, all who purchase a ticket to support the organization will be granted access to Venezia’s exclusive waterfront ballroom & outdoor bar while enjoying music by the AJ Smooth Band. A silent auction buffet of handbags, artwork, gift certificates and experiences will all be featured alongside what can only be described as exceptional mediterranean cuisine. Ticket prices range from $55 for a student, $75 for seniors and $100 for general admission.
The most important part of the evening? Knowing your donations will go to support a wide range of services, including professional attire, children’s clothes, books and toys, and hot meals. “With their help, it gives people encouragement to pull themselves up and know that people care.”
